Accounting firm delivers flexible work schedules, company-wide sports activities, internal clubs and more.
It’s not every day you hear CPAs talk about how much they love their jobs. That is until you meet the staff at MBAF, a nationally recognized public accounting firm that was recently named a 2017 Best Places to Work finalist by South Florida Business Journal.
As the largest independent CPA firm in Florida, MBAF continues to grow, expand services, deepen expertise and provide exceptional client service all while striving to build an engaging and supportive workplace. MBAF is one of 15 Best Places to Work finalists, selected from hundreds of applicants, to be listed in the award’s large company category.
“At MBAF, our employees are truly the backbone of the company and our greatest strength, which is why we are committed to creating an environment supportive of their growth and desire to succeed,” said Tony Argiz, CEO and Chairman of MBAF. “Satisfied employees are the most important component of creating satisfied clients and this recognition reaffirms that we are building a positive, employee-centric culture that will benefit our clients.”
The perks of being an MBAF employee go far beyond the basics of a typical accounting firm. MBAF’s staff can enjoy flexible work schedules, internal clubs like The Women of MBAF, participating in company sports like yoga or flag football, volunteering for non-profit initiatives and attending training programs through MBAF University.
Companies were judged based on the results of an employee survey administered by Quantum Market Research. The survey evaluated team effectiveness, retention, employee alignment with company goals, trust with co-workers, individual contribution, manager effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling value, work engagement and people practices. The winners will be announced on Thursday, February 16 at South Florida Business Journal’s annual Best Places to Work luncheon.
