MBAF’s Tony Argiz was included in this year’s list of Florida Trend’s Most Influential Business Leaders in the Professional Services category.

Argiz’s firm is one of the top 40 accounting firms in the country, with about $120 million in annual revenue, and has been honored 21 times on a list of the nation’s 50 best managed accounting firms. Argiz credits Albert Morrison Jr., one of MBAF’s founders, as a mentor and friend, saying Morrison taught him management skills and principles that he still uses today.

  • Education: Florida International University (BBA)
  • Course of Study: I started at FIU with a baseball scholarship, but once I realized that my fastball did not cross home plate as it once did, I shifted to an academic focus. I chose accounting since to be successful you need both common sense and a knack for numbers.
  • Most Don’t Know: I am an avid collector of Cuban and Latin American art. I have more than 50 original pieces, mainly Cuban masters.
  • Wish List: I hope that one day I will be able to meet our Holy Father the Pope.
