Nationally recognized public accounting firm, MBAF, is pleased to announce that Diana Rivera, CPA, CGMA, principal in the Audit Department at MBAF, has been selected as a finalist for The Florida Institute of CPA’s (FICPA) Women to Watch Award in the Experienced Leader category.

Established in 2010, the FICPA Women to Watch Awards were created to focus on the outstanding women who not only shape the Florida Institute of CPAs, but also the profession.

With a strong background in financial auditing and forensic examinations, Rivera provides direct supervision to the firm’s professional staff in the conduct of audits and reviews of financial statements, and specializes in condominium associations, mixed-use developments, cooperative housing corporations, and timeshare and resort associations. Rivera frequently conducts and supervises consulting, litigation support and agreed-upon procedures engagements.

Rivera served as President of the Florida Chapter of the Puerto Rico Society of Certified Public Accountants from 2014-2016 and Vice President of the Chapter from 2016-2017, where she helped advance the accounting profession and developed and promoted lines of business in Puerto Rico. She served as President-Elect and board member of the organization from 2017-2018 and was recently re-elected President of the Florida Chapter for the 2018-2019 fiscal year.

In addition, Rivera is involved with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a certified Chartered Global Management Accountant. She is licensed to practice in the state of Florida and the commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Committed to supporting women in the industry, Rivera also makes time to work on the Executive Committee of the Women of MBAF, which provides professional development and mentorship opportunities to women in all levels at MBAF.
