Alan L. Freeman, CPA, is a retired principal of the Tax and Accounting Department at MBAF. Alan joined MBAF from Freeman, Buczyner & Gero (FBG) in November 2006 and retired June 30, 2014. Alan has been in the public accounting profession since 1964 and has a strong background in income and tax planning, accounting and business consultation services.
As a name partner of FBG, Freeman oversaw several large accounts in various industries with an emphasis in tax planning. Alan’s career includes accounting experience with the Internal Revenue Service and Shapiro Fleischmann & Company since 1966, becoming a partner in January 1970. He served as partner-in-charge of several large clients in the finance, real estate, retail and other various industries.
In 1989, Shapiro Fleischmann & Company merged into Touche Ross (now Deloitte & Touche) with Alan becoming a partner. He served as Managing Partner of Freeman, Buczyner & Gero since its formation in 1991.
