Choolfaian, CPA, is a principal in the Tax and Accounting Department at MBAF. Gary has been in the public accounting profession since 1979, and is based out of the firm’s Valhalla office located in Westchester County, New York.
Gary has a comprehensive knowledge of the requirements of commercial businesses. He specializes in audit, review and compilation of financial statements, due diligence, gift and estate transactions, multi-state and international corporate and partnership taxation. He also has experience with pension plan strategies, tax planning, representation and compliance.
Gary has served a wide range of industries including franchisors, hi-tech companies, manufacturing, middle market construction contractors, professional services (including architects, consultants and physicians), real estate and SEC clients. He has worked with entrepreneurial start-up enterprises receiving angel seed, public and private equity financing, in addition to traditional bank-debt financed companies.
Prior to joining MBAF, Gary worked at UHY Advisors, Ferro Berdon & Company and at Blumenkrantz and Company.
